At some point in time I'm gonna need to replace the rear tires on my tractor. The ones I have are goodyear power torque. They lasted 20 years but they are delaminating? Like un peeling a orange but leaving the peel hooked to the orange,???anyway I like firestone r1 Field & road, but another farm that has the same tractor that i have used, has connentional tires, (spelling) they seemed like good tires, really high lugs. I use my tractor for haying, spreading manure, brushhog ect ect, thanks for any info or recommendations, J

All in all, you would be hard pressed to do better than Firestone. Their "better grade" will be worth the extra money if going on a tractor that you plan on keeping/using forever and ever.

Look at a tire called AUKERET MAX TRAC. They are a carbon copy of the Firestone f/r but half the money and 8ply vs f/r 4 or 6 ply. I just bought a pair of 13.6x38 for 900 with tubes. Firestone were going to be 620 plus tubes. Oh it is pronounced accuret [stuipid oversea tire].

I have a 6060 Ac 18.4 X 28. Had the Goodyears. Same thing happened to them, just year before last. Went with the 23 deg Firestones. 90% of the winners in Antique tractor pulling are on Firestones. Bars seem to be stiffer where are lamination to casing. Vic
