Hey Larry, How far away is your farm from Kempton, just wonderin as I get down to Deitrich's Country Store a couple times a year and with spring coming, was thinking maybe meetin' up.
Do you get down to Rough and Tumble in Kinzers at all?

Get out of town and a lot of the area is like that. Great place to live, ain't it, Larry!

no , never been there, but in march there is a consignment sale at the Kempton community center, tractors ,equiptment, and stuff of all kinds,it is a nice saturday sale, let me know, the farm is about 5 miles from Kempton,Kempton is our mailing adress

I really enjoy this site, the nice people on here taught me how to post pictures,I didnt know how to do any of it until I started on this site, I dont think I am such a good photographer, The area is just good for pictures, but thanks for the compliment anyway

(quoted from post at 19:24:17 02/06/12) Ithink that is Hawk mountain and I know the village is Stoney Run

That is the Blue Mountain. The picture (where you see the stone) is of the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and yes, the Appalachian Trail runs across the top of the mountain.

I usually make it to kinzers , try to make it

on thursday or friday to avoid the crowd. Sat

there is not a place to put your feet on the

ground.

It looks like the "Coulee Region" of Western
Wisconsin, North East Iowa, or South East
Minnesota!

Nice photos of the beautiful countryside.

Are those rocks in the foreground on photo #1 near the fence?

Always enjoy your photos.

Thanks for sharing them with us.

I grew up in LaCrosse. Don"t expect anybody east of the Missippi except the locals to know what a "Coulee" is.

I was born in La Crosse. Still have brother and sister who live there. I didn't appreciate the beauty of the coulees and the bluffs and the ridges until I left there.
