why make us jump thru hoops? why not just post the link?

I'm a gunbroker memebr, and I *think* this is the one you are talking about.

what's so scarry about it?

you've never seen an export market gun before?

I think this is normal for any gun made for export. If you think about all the guns you can that were made somewhere overseas they will all be in English.

I own a russian Baikal O/U shotgun, English writing stamped all over it. The M44 carbine that was russian military issue is all in Russian.

Not belittleing the guy.. just wondering why the complicated steps sugesting 'googleing' for the darn thing vs posting a link in the URL box provided under the text box of the message.

takes a hot second to right click and copy and past over a url link to do so.

or in ansence of the url box, even copy and pasting the link over into the text box so someone else could copy and paste it into a browser would have been easier.

You know I have never thought about it but come to think about it all my Russian guns have English writing on them and at least one of those guns was a WW2 bring home and it is also in English

Ah, lessons delivered with love. Reminds me of the nuns in parochial school. Charming ladies- at Our Lady of Perpetual Guilt. Never missed an opportunity to "dig" somebody.

Built for export,by bakail. You will also find them with the spartan name on them. EXCELLENT guns by the way. Some russian guns during and before ww2 were built in the remington factory here in the states. And reminton are selling their guns now under the spartan brand name. These make excellent guns for a youngster, ive given every one of the boys in my family one over the years when they were old enough.Much better in my opinion than the hammer type guns for young shooters, simply because the may not let the hammer fall while cocking. Not such a big deal nowdays with the hammer blocks but some of the older guns it was.For a single shot ,i personally dont think you will find much better.Well worth the money.

Actually the "Russian guns" built by Remington were Mosin Nagants 1891s built under contract with Imperial Russia during WW1.

Remington and New England Westinghouse built about 750,000 riles each with the Russian only taking about half before the Reds took over the country and the US government stopped allowing shipments. The government bought the rifles and for a short time issued them to reserve troops until WW1 ended the 1903 Springfield was made available in massive quantities. According to these people the NRA was selling the Mosins for $3.90 + postage in the 1920s.

i access the internet on a mobile device. I no longer have a 'home computer'.

typing on something the size of a large cell phone makes for less than perfect results.

no spell checker either... takes forever to go back and correct a letter or move a spaced over word. when your fingertip can hit a key, and part of the 7 keys around it on the condensed keyboard.. it makes it tough... that's not an excuse, it's an explanation.

if your complaining about it and it bothers you enough to make an off topic post just to gripe about the spelling in someone else's post.. i suggest you stop reading anything with my name on it, so as not to cause you pain and anguish, I'll do the same, and not read your posts, so as to not hear the whining and crying...

sound fair?

I thought we were all good tough conservative 'mericans here.

Why is everyone getting their shorts in a wad because someone MAY have hurt someone else's feelings? You're contributing to the "Dumbing Down of America" by coddling self-proclaimed "stupid" people.

Just like people that proclaim themselves insane, aren't, people that proclaim to be stupid, aren't. They just know they can get away with ACTING stupid because it's easier, and nobody's going to give them jack about it because we're all afraid of huwting thewr feewings...

Being afraid to hurt someone's feelings is a abundant thing. We shouldn't have to be afraid to stand up and give a little constructive criticism.

Besides, this wasn't even harsh. "C'mon, it's not that hard." vs. "Hey you waste of space and oxygen!"
