No freezing this morning.Yesterday it was single
digit in the morning, warmed to shirtsleeves in the
afternoon. What is it with this weather? We really
need more winter. Our snowpack is less than 50%-its
worse than the '02 drought.I am SO NOT ready to
'farm'.Steve

shirt sleeve! I wish I could say the same thing. Minus 17 F this mornin, aposta warm up by Sunday...I hope their right!

No snowpack means no irrigation water. No irrigation water means no crops. :( Here we rely 100% on irrigation as we only get less than 4" of summer rainfall.

Yep Monday it got up to around 70 out then Tuesday it did not get above freezing and since Monday it has not gotten above 40 but they are calling for 60 on Sunday. Also been pretty dry here with only one 2 inch rain all month so far and a light dusting of snow as in less then an inch. If it keep this up we maybe in for a hot dry summer but then we do still have a month and a half of winter and by the end of it we maybe digging out of another 2 foot snow

Not trying to be un- sympathetic to your problem of moisture- I was commenting on your other post--

Cloudy and 20°F after 2 days of snow. We got about 2 feet here and I"d imagine the Mission Mountains got 4 feet. Lookin" good for irrigation this year...so far!
Now if we could just have the vole population die off! The hawks are working three shifts a day and they"re not making a dent. Bfore the snow fall, some places in the pasture look like they"ve been disked.
