A $5800 dollar 40T on photo ads? Geez I guess I'll kick the Super M, '48 JD A, CJ3A I am workin on outta the shop and get some paint on the 420T if they are gettin' to be worth that much! ...BUT mine will have a period correct black seat so will probably only be worth what maybe $2700?
Sure makes that all straight and original 630 in her work clothes just a couple posts up from the 40 a real bargain @ $3500 huh?

I bought a restored 4230 with Cab a few years ago and it had a genuine JD Brown seat!!!! Never knew Deere used anything but yellow. I didn't like it and threatened to chunk it and get a yellow one....but my cheap genes took over and I decided to put up with it.

Just saw a UK tractor mag in TSC this morning, someone got 5000 some odd pounds Sterling for a TE20 barn find... that is $12,000US? more? Well at the moment we still live in a capitalist society, so pricing is not restricted under any common laws. I believe the legal definition of value is 'what a willing seller will accept from a willing buyer'. Maybe there is room to chisel him down? And it seems, in many parts of the world, tractors, like real estate, are priced on 3 issues.... location, location and location. I know dealers in central New York state that want $2500 for anything on the lot... no matter how long ago the rotten tires sank in the mud....
