case 420B parts search

Hiya,

We have a 1959 case 420B, ssn6103385, which just ate it's starter for Christmas dinner.

Looking for a replacement starter (delco ref. No 110775598-4).

Anyone know where we might find one?

Any help is most appreciated.

If your tractor serial number is 6103385 it is probably a 1958 model. The serial numbers began with 6095001 in 1958 and began with 6120001 in 1959.

If at all possible I would see if your starter can be rebuilt. These old starters are a high dollar item and hard to find. I'm searching for one for my 210B and the cheapest one I've found so far would be $400.00 including shipping.

a 400B tractor uses the same starter and should be easier to find, and you might try posying on the Case forum as not every one visits here and may have a few other ideas cnt
