Bought a new trailer big enough to haul my tractor. Need to get rid of the old one but don't know what to ask for it. It is a standard little 16 ft. tandem 3500 lb. axels, good tires breaks and lights. Could use some paint. Any guesses at what it's worth?

How wide is it? That is also a factor.

Could be worth anywhere between $800 at the low end to $1600 at the high end as a used trailer.

Need a little more info. DOUG

They average between $800 and $1200 here in S. Texas. Width of bed, tire condition and if or not it has brakes are main factors.

Where is it & send some pics please . I"ve wanted one for years , now my Grandson is pushing me to get one . I should maybe push him since he will probably have it more than I will be allowed too . Used to be when you borrow something , you return as soon as that particular reason is completed . Now day people think its theirs until you beg hard enough for it to be returned . Kids - loves tough at times . God bless

Bought one like it, but no brakes and needed a new floor. Paid $450 for it. Brakes and a new floor made it about $800.

the biggest factor determining price is does the trailer have a full frame under it, or is it one of those all angel iron jobs that will bend up if you put anything larger than a ford N series on it, i got stuck with one of those and im still trying to find something its good for, good thing i got other trailers lol

Since you just bought a NEW trailer, you are familiar with how much trailer prices have gone up in just the last few years. I would estimate your old trailer is worth as much today as what you paid for it. Particularly if that trailer is ready to be hitched up, loaded, and taken down the road.

I sold a 16 ft, 7k, almost new tired, 15 year old trailer with a new paint job for $1200.

Neighbor bought a 16 ft, 7k, needes new rubber and a few new boards, $600.

New 16 ft 7k trailers go for around $16-$1800.

I purchased a new 20 ft, 14K implement trailer for $3150+tax+spare.
