Kubota Questions

Found a B7100 HST Kubota in an upcoming sale. Tach shows 1500 hours. It has a small 3 cyl diesel engine and hydrostatic trans. Looks good, runs good, has power front axle, 3pt, and a mower deck. How old is this thing and about how much hp is it? Anything else I should know about it?

Oh yeah, about what is it worth?

I have the newer version of it, the B7500HST. The B7100's were made in the 80's and 90's. They don't have power steering or a full floorboard. They are about 21-24 hp. Most of them the exhaust sticks out the side so you can't mount a loader on it.

I have seen the B7100 go for $3000-$5000.

MCL Both poster are somewhat right. Actually Kubota made the B 7100 then reintroduced it latter, so there are two versions. real way to see if it is early model or latter is look at the front axel. earlier ones had a large ball type joint like an old jeep. The latter units have the late model front axel with bevel gear drive. The fact that power swteering is not offred allways made the tractor a slow seller. When yo mount a front loader just not much. Engine & drive train last for ever if you will keep the radiator clean. Overheating is about the only problem unit has NO water pump.

How does it not get in the way? My friend has a B7100 with the exhaust sticking out and we measure my loader and the main arms would not clear. The loader for them must be extra wide or something.

I dunno... but they put loaders on them. I used one a little bit years ago in college that had a loader and a backhoe attachment. The loader bucket will hold about as much as a good size pan shovel and lift about as much as 2 average men....
