I boogered bead on tractor tire: should I throw it away?

Hello, I had a hard time getting this 13.6 x 28 R1 10 ply rear tractor tire off of the rim. I tore the bead along a 20 cm length. See photo. I was going to remount it, but now I'm afraid the tube is going to get pinched in there. Or worse yet, the tire will jump off the rim and explode when I pressurize it? Just kidding, but really I don't know if this tire is any good now. I paid $100 for it and I had trouble locating a used one, so I'd like to use it if I can. Should I throw this tire away or is this tear something that I should not be concerned about?

I would use it. Urethane door and window caulk (Small tube if you can find it) then use duct tape cut into 1/2 wide lengths of 10 inches placed in overlapping strips to hold it so the flap is compressed as much as possible. Let it sit for 2 days and then peal the tape off gently (like it was on your arm!. Mount it and go. It is not a high speed item, and the steel bead reinforcement is not damaged. Use Ru-Glide rubber lube to mount it so it slides easily. Jim

I usually just use Talc powder, rubbed on the tube and tire interior, and Beads..
Slicks them right up with not much mess..

It doesn't look that bad to me. On that small of a tire with the low tire presure I would just put it back together and run it. I always use lots of powder on the tube and soap the bead up good when putting a tire together.

The tube holds the air anyway. Make sure when using tire irons that the opposite side of the irons bead is in the lowest [usually center part] of the rim to give you the most slack. In other words the bead should be in the dropped center part of the rim. It ain't goin' in the Indy 500. If you wanted you could put some High Tack on that section but not needed. When you put them back on same thing.I can walk them on with sneakers a a Ken tools hammer ,no irons to pinch tube ,but without that slack from the right position: impossible. Seat this very carefully as someone else noted already.Lots of soap. Low and slow [ hey thats my pulled pork saying Low and Slow ]

iirc somebody like www.robertstire.com sells a "wonder-glop" in a tube for filling in gaps and cracks in tires.
As previously stated the steel bead is still intact. Should be ok but...............stand clear when airing it up. If the torn rubber stays stuck back in it's original location.

I bought a lock-on air chuck for filling tires, set my regulator for required pressure clamp it on and leave the area when inflating all my big truck and tractor tires. Think safety.

13.6 X 28 did you say?
Looks to me like they are completely ruined.
Where did you say you are located?
I'll take them off your hands to save you the disposal fee.
I need a set that size...
