OT Youth deer hunt in Minnesota

Gonna take my 11 year old boy out today for the youth hunt, started on Thursday, but with work and all today is the first day we can hunt together! Hoping for a good time...Bob

Here in Missouri they have a special youth hunt in areas but you had to sign up for it and then they set you up as to where you can set your stands etc. This is in a number of the conservation areas. It is going on right now and started this morning and will end Sunday evening. Then the week end before opening of gun season there is an open youth hunt and I may be out for that but not sure yet

Good for you!! I know that it will be good for both of you. Today started the black powder season in Arkansas. The youth hunt is later it is the time when grown men can hunt deer and claim that their 2 year old son killed it with a 30-06

I saw this this morning but didn't have time to reply.
Good for you. Get the boy out there.
Teach him to be a good steward of the land along with the hunting.
Lot of real negative posts here lately about bad hunters. Gotta change that perception.
Post back with your results. Tell the lad I was rooting for him.
