Zetor Loggers

Looks like he has some sort of winch / blade system mounted on his 3 pt . I've seen this logging winches in Baily's catalog. Looks like they don't work very good ,lol

Wonder why he thought getting further out was going to help?

Not a big enough log to do that, just based on the weight- so log is obviously hanging up on something. Think I'd send trusty assistant in with an axe to see what the problem was. . .

Yea looks like that wench should be mounted lower or on the front.

You should go for the trade.......then someone can post vids of you doing that!!!!!!!

Rick

Of course, I always thought a wench should be mounted on the lower front, for best results. Works much better for moving the log.

Sorry, I don't get all the coments? He was hooked to something tough, and where else would you put a winch? Some mentioned the front?

When he digs the outrigers in the soil, that is all that tractor will ever pull. If you hook lower, you will limit the lift on the log. May as well marry a big enough woman to pull a beer wagon, and hook her to the log.

You probably are upset that he is going to tip over? The outrigers will have to dig in pretty deep to actualy tip over the tractor..not imposible, but not very likley.

Have any of you with the ill coments ever run a backhoe other than in a parade or digging a flower out for your wife? Just kidding, but I see nothing wrong with the way he was operating the tractor and wench, other than he was hooked to something tough, and that will happen on a every hour basis.

Hooking low on the tractor like I said, limits the winch, and puts the log in the dirt more. It looks like the tractor has a rest for the log.....not to bad of a unit compared to a bare tractor and a log chain. Actualy a pretty good unit overall in my opinion.

I have never seen any logging truck, wrecker, or log skidder with a low mounted winch, let alone a front mounted one?

My intention is not to upset anyone, just defend someone.

So dave2- maybe this would be a good time to do some remedial spelling correction? Or just enjoy the double-entendre posts as they come in? I'm OK either way- What say you? Does spelling ever matter?

Wonder if he ever thought of put'n the winch on the front? .........Duh!
've seen plenty of three point logging winches but never one for the front. So do you back up all the way to the landing with it?

I'm pretty sure he's doing the wheelies on purpose to show off, fellas.

Them girls in the former Soviet Block countries are easily impressed...
