'Nother Money Pit......I Mean Project :)

After I unloaded that 1066 the other day I ran over to the next country and hauled this ol' Chevy home that I had bought on the cheap.

Other than the obvious needing a bath, transmission is fried and just from the way it is running, I can tell it needs a fuel pump.

Oh, and those silly running boards have gotta go! :>)

Do I really need 3 pickups? :>(

Probably has nothing to do with working in a gm shop for all those years, and er um having the inside edge on repairing those transmissions.

Do they not use salt out there? It looks like the body is in nice shape. If you took the running boards off one around here, the rest of the truck might collapse into a pile of rust :) !

The running boards keep the rocks, etc from hitting the rocker panels and lower body. I'm not wild about the looks of boards either, but they can help save the body...
Reman trannys are pretty reasonable if you can't build yours. Don't forget to flush the cooler lines both ways...

If we lived closer I get those "silly running boards" off ya.

I almost to have to pull up to a soap box for my 5'1" wife to get into mine.

and when she exits without being close to a curb she disappears.

Nothing wrong with it but I noticed that you are double posting lately. Just a heads up if your intentions are not to do so.

Damn good trucks. I own 6 Cevys between 88 and 95. Have three of them on the road and 3 of them have over 200,000 miles on them. All still run!

That "double posting" thing is (and has been for a long, long time) a fault of this site.

Why in the world would I post something twice? LOL!
