6910 air conditioner capacity

I found the leak and was wondering if anyone had the freon and oil capacity for R134 in a JD 6910 Air Conditioner.

I have a specification chart for this AC, but not much else.

It calls for 83 oz. of refrigerant and 11 total oz. of refrigerant oil. Quantities stay the same for R12 or R134a.

R12 must use mineral oil.

R134A will need PAG 46 oil assuming a japanese compressor is being used.

That's kind of unusual for both R12 and R134A to take the same amount of refrigerant. Usually R134A calls for about 80% of the amount used instead of R12.

I agree 80% 134A vs R12 is the general rule.

the leak was in the low pressure side line. right where the line hooks to the compressor it was rubbing on the frame and it rubbed a hole. the hose is coming in monday.
