A good time buying and selling on the net

I see on here all to often that people just dont
enjoy buying or selling stuff on the internet.
And that i can understand, i have a few bad
stories also. I just thought id share a pleasant
experience i had.
A the end of swathing wheat and oats this year i decided that i would try to find a newer unit for
next year, i thought one with a hydro and cab
would make it much easier and more comfortable. I
have been running a 15 foot Deere 800 and figured
a 2320 Deere would be about the best upgrade i
could afford.
Much to my surprise i came across a 2320 with cab
and air and 18 foot head about 300 miles away. I
talked to the gentleman and he emailed me pics.
It looked good so about 5 days later i finally
made it up to look at it and was even better than
described. I bought it and he agreed to drive it
to town so it could be loaded at the dealer. I
then went home to try and find someone to truck
it.
I posted my 800 on the net and had one guy call
and set a time to look at it, he called to confirm
then never showed. Next call came from a nice
gentleman from quite a distance away. I emailed
him alot of photos of it and talked to him a bunch
on the phone. He liked it, bought it, and i
loaded it on a truck for him.
Sorry for the long post but i figured id post a
good buyer/seller story.
First pic is my old 800 loaded up and leaving the
yard. Second pic is my 2320 loaded up to come
home. (a friend hauled it so i rode with)

PLEASE tell me it's a diesel and NOT an underpowered-overheating-won't-shut off-when warmed up-manifold-eating MOPAR electronic ignition-eating gas-sucking POS like the 2320 my neighbor STILL has (that his dad bought NEW) which should have been sent to "the land of almost right" YEARS ago to make trivets to be sold at WaldoWorld!

(SORRY, I'm just being HONEST!)

(Oh, yeah, did I mention it's a piece of crap?)

Nice trade up!! It's always nice when things come together.

I've always had good luck dealing with real farm equipment on the internet. Seems like when you get into collectable stuff, when you get away from production farmers, you start running into shysters and such.

My rule is, treat others as I'd want to be treated and if my gut doesn't feel right, put an end to it.

I've met/dealt with some darn fine people, sometimes just over a virtual handshake..... I've never been burned bad. Looks like you did good too.

Let us know if it runs as good as it looks.

Good story. I too mostly have had good experiences buying and selling off the net. A few coneheads to deal with but that's to be expected. And no different than the days when you had to spend $50+ to put a 3 line ad in the Sunday edition of the newspaper.
Your experience kind of reminds me of the one about the fellow who bought a tractor. When he first got it he told people it was the happiest day of his life.
Then after using it for a few years and learning to hate it he sold it. And ran around telling people it was the happiest day of his life to see it go.

I've had good 'luck' buying and selling on Craigslist and ebay,of course most of the time a person makes their own 'luck'.Most that have lots
of problems on the net probably have lots of problems elsewhere also.Something to do with the
Victim Complex so popular these days.

It is a gasser, diesel would have been nice but also cost a bunch more. It has the same slant 6 chrysler that my 800 had and i never had a prob with that. I would assume it will take some power to run the hydro and air conditioner but im sure it will be fine.

You are RIGHT! He gets the MISERY and I get paid to repair it (the Deere dealer he deals with hates to acknowledge it exists!)
