The stuff that makes me homesick..... Need an online source.

Hey folks,
I need a few tuff (strong) clips like these (does not have to be this big) for fence applications. You'd think I could find something in a store here but the only thing I found was a contractor supply store and they were rediculious with the price. Google didn't do it for me other than a couple sites for contractors to inquire.
Needs to be able to clamp on a 3/4 inch pipe

Any tips appreciated

Dave

Are you sure that is what you want? Those type of clips are intended for a "temporary" use. I doubt they would hold up to being exposed to the weather for a long period of time, and even if the clip did not deteriorate, I think there would be a corrosion issue where the clip fastens to the pipe.

Try to google O'reily Auto Parts,Ace Hardware,Napa,Auto Zone, well you get the idea. Those clps are common most any where.A package of two can be bought at any Farm and Fleet but I don't know if they ship or not.

Get ground clamps, like used on electrical service entrances. Those spring clips will corrode enough in 6 months that they won't give a good ground anymore.

You could be right, but I need something simple and portable (fence charger) for the wife to have in emergencies when I'm not around. Gears are turning tho and maybe I can come up with something better, cheaper, and available here. I'll go shopping and do a little headscratching......

Get to your auto parts store. they should have smaller clips that look like the clips on jumper cables that can be soldered on making them more weatherproof.

Dave2, hate to sound trite, but HF sells a card of alligator clips, that I think contains some of these. Poke around their site, and you might find them, or something you can use.

Company name is MUELLER if they are still around. Last ones I bought cost over five bucks each. Dave

Thanks folks...
Mcmaster won't ship USPS according to the nice guy on the phone (still working on my people skills)....

Decided on another better and cheaper route using a real bolt on ground clamp with a section of wire and just using a male/female wire plug to make it portable.
