Pictures from the Waverly Nebraska show

As far as I know, it is the biggest one around here. They hosted the national Gathering of the Orange (Allis Chalmers) show several years ago!

Nice pics!

#64 looks like a cousin of mine. He has a construction company, mostly earthmoving. Builds dams, roadbeds, (grade work, he doesn't do paving), land leveling, and does general heavy duty dirt work.

He collects antique tractors along with it. Must have well over 100.

I'll give him credit, everything he has and has done, he's done on his own. He was one of 7 kids, and after he graduated from high school, he drove a truck for a couple of years and got drafted into the Army. The Army made a heavy equipment operator out of him and sent him to Korea to build roads. He played it cool and saved his money, and when he got out of the Army he bought an old Cat and road maintainer and hung out his shingle. Things took off from there.

I was there til 5, the tractor parade took almost 90 minutes. Anyone got an idea why that big Allis dozer has hydraulic lifts on the chassis? There is a pic in there with the entire chassis at a 20degree up angle.

I don't recall the model on that Allis dozer, but I heard the 'barker' during the parade say they only made it 4 years. I believe it has a gm diesel motor in it!

It"s hot here today too. Topped 110 Degrees at 2 PM. Of course it does that most every day in July and August here in Arizona. Some one mentioned the AC Crawler with the chassis lift, maybe it is designed to work up and down hill sides?Raise the front when going down and raise the rear when going up?Or simply to work a constructed hill side with the dozer blade by pushing on the down slope and backing up the slope for another run at it.
