Deere Model A on Pawn Stars

Turns out John Deere made an appearance on the tv show Pawn Stars. Wish I hadn't missed it. They are quite the negotiators trying to offer $2000. sounds a little low to me. i think the owner made the right choice. surely the one in the photo isn't the actual one, since it seems to be in good shape.

They show reruns all the time and I am sure you will catch it the next go around. I have had some pretty nice JD tractors over the years and the guys that look at them seem to be some of the most frugal people I have ever met. As a matter of fact it is much easier to sell all other brands of tractors. $2000 was a generous offer in my opinion. Not much of anything is selling these days.

The one on pawn stars had a few things against it:
1) It didn't run
2) It was an old restoration and the paint was fading

I think it had a two way plow mounted on though...

If it was a 1938 unstyled, It was on before and is an older show as I saw it awhile back. I agree. Considering what was wrong, that was enough to offer. Dandy Dave!

HaHa, yes that one made me chuckle.....when it comes to that kinda stuff they need to call in one of us experts..(redneck/hillbilly/farmers)

Did not run, tires were weather checked bad, I thought they said it needed an overhaul maybe not. It has been sitting as "Lawn art" 500.00 would have been a good offer.

The thing you have to remember about the pricing on Pawn Stars or in any other pawn shop is this is a place you take stuff to sell or pawn because you need money NOW! Not tomorrow, not when someone sees your ad and calls, not this weekend after the garage sale, not when a lookie lou sees it and has to have it, NOW!
If these people planned ahead and took their time selling for market value they would get more. That is what the pawn shop does to make money. Then again if the people thought ahead they would not be in the shop or on Pawn Stars.
