Hello all, I have a brake actuating camshaft on a Ford 2000 that is stuck and wont move at all. I took the tire and drum brakes off and was wondering what the next step of ramoval might be. The shaft will not move at all so I wanted to hear from some of you before I move any further.

Thanks

They do get crudded up and sometimes stick where they go in to the axle housing. I would give it a treatment with a good penetrating oil like PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench and see if that helps. Otherwise if you pull the brakes etc you can remove it that way and give it a good cleaning and regrease.
By the way, Ford built 2 entirely different 2000s so always mention if you have a pre 1965 4 cylinder model or a post 1965 3 cylinder model. They are entirely different animals though in this case that sticky rod is almost identical between the 2 models.

Yeah I finally got it to break loose. Used a mixture of wd40 and never seeze...But yes I will definitley make sure to specify the year and model

Thanks for the input
