thanks. But I'm still not sure that it solves my problem cause the tractor runs but one cylinder spits and sputters.
 
My '50 "B" has a #71 off late "A" and runs perfect. Have had no problems from parades to plowing. Maybe I'm just lucky. I think you know carb size (#) isn't your problem.
 
Ah but did you know not all A carbs are the same as not all B carbs are the same??????? I have a 1935 JD-B and it will not ever run right unless it has a DLTX10 carb why well because it is an old all fuel model so you need to know things like is your tractor a gas or all fuel and then it that carb for that A a gas or all fuel carb all of those things come into play as to if it will work and if it will work well
 
At idle ? they will do that. Under a load they shouldn't.

Have you tried 2 NEW spark plugs ?
