Have a real nice fourteen foot original. . . dont know if they still make such an implement. Mine is a three point mount, has four three foot hoe sections. Just a bit bigger than what I need.

All under "John Deere rotary hoe" in the search engine. And more.

I sold a 14 ft Deere about 5 years ago for $350. Never used it, doubt the previous owner did either. One of my neighbor's, a bto farmer looked at it, said he had never seen one used in his 40 year career. I came by it because a guy owed me some money, gave me a bunch of equipment instead. Should've held out for cash.

All I see being sold at the JD dealer are yetters I think and black in color. Big ones too, like 30 feet or more. He has 6 to 8 brand new ones for sale every year. Must be a regional thing. No big guys around here use them. I used one to get my corn and beans up after 6 inches of rain in two days here the other year. It works.

When you need one for crusted crops, you better have it in the yard ready to go because you don't have time to shop for one! We don't use ours but once every few years....but used it on some blowing sandy dirt to save some corn this spring!

John Deere no longer makes rotary hoes. Yetter made the last ones for them any way. They just painted them green.

Around here rotary hoes don"t bring much any more. There are years though that they sell. Some of the ground around here will crust after a hard rain. Then everyone is out looking for them. A good JD 400, M&W, or Yetter 15 foot rotary hoe can be bought for under $1500. Check out Tractorhouse. There are several on there that look new for about that money.

I have attached a link to Yetter.

Have a Hiniker 5700 15" full 3 Point. Weathered but practically Like new. Each wheel is mounted on its own individual spring loaded arm. I retired from farming 6 Years ago and I still Have most of my equip.

I have wore out quite a few over the years, usually twice perhaps 3 times on each crop. Very seldom a year they were not used at least once.

I don't think most folk realize how good they are at early blind weed cultivation on conventionally tilled soil. Early being the key word in order to get the weeds just after germination.
