Could someone point me in the right direction for locating the correct paint number for the chassis and rims for our 1929 Farmall Regular? I"d also like to know the best supplier for a new decal set.

This tractor came to our farm in 1929 and is still on the job, but needs some TLC.

If you can remove a piece of sheet metal that has been sheltered and unmolested the whole life of the tractor and clean it with polishing compound, you can get an exact match by having it scanned at you paint store.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - Regrettably
there is no paint left on the tractor. It was under
cover a lot but not as much as it should be.

Those old machines were painted top to bottom with what is generically called Battle Ship Grey which may be of several different shades of grey,so like was said below The McCormick Grey Paint and Decal sets from The Fordson House should do very nicely.I believe that IHC got hold of a huge quantity of War Surplus grey paint thus the reason so much of thier production was painted that color. Earlier machines ,most had a nice color scheme and used different colors for different machines up to the war years of 1917 etc.Just my thoughts on the question.JH

After a search here is a Sales Brochure for the 1925 Farmall Regular. should be the same as the 1929.This shows the correct color scheme. Also a picture from the YT Archives.sorry ffor the blurry picture of the Brochure but it was real small and distortion is common when posting small pictures.JH
