I took a new beers resolution. I threw out all my no and maybe piles I had sorted in the "Cub Den". I took the yes pile and ORGANIZED it so I can see most of what I may need in the immediate future.

I decided to do this only because two weeks ago I went into the "Cub Den" to get a half " wrench that I couldn't find, but I tripped over the end of a mower deck. moved a few things and found my garden tractor it was attached to. Now I can walk the full length and around both sides of two tractors without having to climb over anything.
I have made a vow to try to keep it this way.(Notice I said try)

I just dread the day when I need my maybe pile for something I shouldn't have thrown away 8>(

Well, I can identify with hopping over things to find the tiny bare spot in the floor to stand. Occasionally I do (half-heartedly) "clean" my shop, and it does feel pretty good to have a semi-organized shop for a few days. Then I start a few more projects...

I also lose wire brushes! Is it something about them??? I lose utility knives too, oh, and tape measures, lots of tape measures...

Have a great day,

Troy

I saw the outside of your shop,It is a nice shop., if you get a chance send pictures of the inside ,a while ago many of the guys on here sent pictures of there shops,it was an interesting thread that was done before you found this site.

Hey guys the trick to finding wire brushes and tools and also tractors and cleaning messy shops is to either use the neighbors then he can find tools and clean up!!!! or work under the shop with the big blue roof..

This past friday I finished spraying soybeans for now with my 60 JD and the pulley brake rivets were starting to rub the pulley. No worry, I had a new one put aside for the occasion. Looked for about an hour before going to the local dealer for a new one. The parts men didn't know what a pulley brake pad was, but finally showed them the right part on the computer screen and had them order one.

Returned home and decided to look one more time, and there it lay the first cabinet I opened. Gettin old ain't much fun but the alternative is worse. Joe

What really gets me is, I will put something in a spot where I can't loose it. Then I look for it for about an hour and give up. When I go in the house at night I find that I was correct. I put it in a spot where I couldn't loose it. My pocket.
