Got a chance to buy 4010 diesel wifes"s grandpa bought new in 1960. Found the receipt after grandma died. Be a good one to restore. I only have about 10 tillable acres I play on with old n. Imagine this would cut some time, my dearborn implements are too small and cat 1. How are these on fuel economy?

They came out in September ,1960. First one I saw was at the Indiana State Fair.Had just bought a new 730 Diesel in April, 1960. Had mixed emotions about Deere going away from the old 2 cylinder engines.

msb,,,,thanks,,,,the 1960 thru me for a loop,,,reminds me tho of when i bot a 1160 heston in 1988 and they were still selling 1014s up to about 1990

Really?they sold 1014s till 1990?Iv'e worn out 2 of them.(of course they were mostly worn out when I bought them!LOL)
