QUESTION ON THE BIGGER WISCONSIN ENGINES

The v4 460 461 465 are they pretty much the same engine and do most parts interchange? There is a slight difference in HP rating. They were used on stump grinders etc.

Looking at the Master Parts Book;
460D and 461D: cylinder barrel,head,crankcase,
piston,piston pin, rings, air cleaner and pre-
cleaner, have the same part numbers.
465D has different part numbers.
all other parts---valves, manifolds, crank, bearings---virtually everything else in the parts
book..is interchangable.

Thanks i have not had to work on the 460's much

The early engines used a different center bearing than later ones. Don't know which model engine that change took place, but older ones can be retrofitted.
