hauling a combine

Look at the post "A/C AllCrop 72", posted around 3-16-12 in the implement forum. Got some good feedback that can be helpful to you.
Quick recap: Most likely you got brass bushings, prone to overheat when towing. grease them well before you leave and about every 5 miles thereafter, low speed, about 15 mph. So pack plenty of grease and time to get there....
If you have to load it, check with Tom Yaz at allcropharvester.com (I think I got the address right) he can tell you how to do it best.
Hope all the posts in the implement forum help, too. Good luck and keep us posted. Ralph in Oklahoma.

I have a 66 with two row corn head. My trailer was 102 wide, but too narrow for the 66, (same as your 60) so I built a temporary outrigger on the right side, to match the wheel width. Temp ramp as well. Backed the combine on, Heavy CH is over outrigger. Bouncing created leverage by the outrigger on the trailer frame and cracked some frame welds. Next time I"ll back it on, then jack up that side and support it with blocking down to the main deck, no weight on the outrigger. Previously I towed it to shows- grease every 5-7 miles, limit to 15 mph. Wheels have only brass bushings, no real bearing.
