Why can't I get a 1157 back in the socket that one came out of?

double check pin as stated, some of the new manufactures didn't put pin in right location..[import junk], use white grease for easy installation and prevent rust to form later years.

Lube it up a little, then it will (should) turn.

push and turn, but make sure the little "pins" sticking out are in the same local on the old and the new, regardless if it says 1157 or not on the bulb.
