surge brake reservoir plug repair

Old trailer. Brakes do not work. The filler plug was beat up and broken. I got it off and it needs to be replaced. Reservoir was empty. It is about the size of inch and a quarter pipe, but it appears to be a 14 tpi. The plug had a flange around it and a rubber seal under it. Best option so far is to use a rubber plug that is simular to a boat drain plug. Any one know where a guy can get a better plug for it?
Thank you
Steve

if you kow the size and tpi / pitch.. what about threading up a piece of stock. flange can be added in, plus oring or rubber gasket.

As a machinist I should be able to do that at work. Unfortunately I was hoping for something a lot less labor intensive. I have a thread file at work and will bring it home to clean the thread and verify its size. I work 30 miles from home and if this a speciality thread, then it could make things more difficult. It looks simular to an old barrel plug and I was hoping that someone could suggest where I might find something like it.
Thank you
Steve

I have purchased the rubber plug and hope that it will not be eaten by the brake fluid

McMaster Carr has some plugs
