Follow-up question: Binder, Ratchet --No grade stamp?

Thanks for all the replies to my post comparing both. Been looking around and wondering if the binder and ratchet do not have Grade (43/70) somewhere stamped on them. So far, I only found some without any reference on the metal and only on the box they are packaged in or with a tag attached ("do not remove").... I remember that in earlier discussion about chains, it needed to say on the chain and the hook to satisfy the bears and DOT and to garantee certain standards.
Thanks, Ralph.

Many of them today are grade stamped "C H I N A".
The scrap metal you sell today is the metal goods you buy tomorrow.

Binders do not usually have a grade on them. It is listed in a Working Load Limit.
For them to be legal they must have this listed.
On good binders it is listed "WLL 0000 LBS" in raised letters. A tag attached to the binder is just as good as long as it looks like a factory installed tag. If the tag ever breaks off and you tie it on with a bread tie it is scrap iron. This is why most have it cast into the handle of the binder.

Thanks, John, bought some that do have itin the cast as raised letters. BTW, did you ever find the Fella parts you were looking for?
Just curious. Ralph in OK.
