Got scammed this week.

Well, I fell for it. Took a chance on a cheap hauler. Should have looked on this thread before I did that. This time his name was Joe. 224-531-3002. He got me for $200 on a Wal-mart green dot card. Live and learn. Too bad it has to be that way in life that you have folks that will do anything but tell the truth. I'm the latest sucker for this guy.

He might of got me too, he gave a quote for shipping a tractor for me that I thought was very reasonable. I ended up not getting the tractor, but I did google his phone number, that is when I found out he is a scammer.

ANYTIME SOMEBODY ASK YOU FOR A DEPOSIT UP FRONT ITS A RED FLAG. I HAUL TRACTORS AND I HAVE HAULED FOR PEOPLE OF THE HAULING SCHEDULE MANY TIMES. AND THE ONLY TIME I HAVE EVER TAKIN MONEY UP FRONT IS WHEN THE PEOPLE WERENT GOING TO BE ON THE OTHER END TO PAY ME.THATS MAYBE TWO OR THREE TIMES IN 6 YEARS.I HOPE TO HELL SOMEBODY NAILS THIS SCAMMER. HES MAKIN IT HARD FOR US PEOPLE WHO HAUL FOR A LIVING.

Not to bust your balls but seriously you sent the guy a downpayment with basically a gift card? what part of that doesn't sound shady? I doubt you pay your mechanic or plumber that way.

I agree with John Deere Harvester Guy, I have been hauling off this site for over 16 years, never ask for a deposit up front, turn down a lot of loads as the money does not make sense, can"t haul for less than it costs, good equipment and proper tie down is essential and expensive.

Every time I list something I need hauled that gentlemen calls me. EVERY SINGLE TIME!

He never will give me his address and says he lives out of his truck with no permanent address. I tell him to get lost every time.

From what I understand he has ripped off a number of people.

Does anyone know how to use Latitude & Longitude to find a specific location, ie:address? The general area for the phone # is on Busse Highway (Rt 14), between the two Rt12 roadways, probably East 12 & West 12, Des Plaines, Ill. Once there is an address, it should be easy to find the occupants. Lat. 42.04, Long -87.89.

It can happen, I sold a John Deere owners book on here 3 weeks ago. Its only $13.00 but still have not got payment, reached the guy again by phone he picked up said he was waiting on a retirement fund then he mail me cash. Was like why would you mail cash in the mail and we are talking $13 why would you have to wait to get a retirement fund? But I have sent a lot of things off first without payment and got payment 99.9 % of people on here are good people. Kyle
