Backhoe-Pro trailer opinion

Information appreciated by anyone familiar with Econoline's Backhoe-Pro trailers and the Multi-Max suspension. I'm looking at an used, 10 ton,20+5 pintle hitch model. Any maintenance problems with the inside tires/brakes/axle alignments, etc?

Hmmm . . . that bad, huh?
I can see where checking air pressure (let alone changing out a flat on the insides) would be more difficult that dual tandems but didn't know about keeping the bogies aligned or how the trailers hold up in general.

The worst thing about these is that any flat and you are stuck until you fix it. The ones I have seen have a pivot on each set of wheels that equalize them inside to out. If you have a flat the axle pivots the flat one to the ground. Plus the inside wheels are a real pain to change, really bad when loaded.

You should be able to find conventional dauled tandems worth the money right now. I have seen several here in Iowa for the low 4k range. Trail King is a common brand.

Yeah, the novelty is now fading real fast as I think about laying under a loaded trailer in the mud trying to change a flat tire.
Its at the tail end of the year, I need a trailer and I must be grasping at straws.

Like they say run! don"t look back. My cousin had one of these 4 axle trailers. My truck could hardly pull it on a crowned road. I guess the road is softer in the middle. It was a hoot to just check the air in the middle tires. Vic

did you find a trailer yet? where do you live? I have a brand new pintel forsale only selling it because I was able to get a gooseneck
