When it rains it pours - this time it is good

Been shopping for an older Chevy or GMC 1/2 ton to fix up ow that sons are out on their own.

Spoke for and got a '50 GMC 5 window in my price range. As luck would have it now a 52 Chevy 3/4 ton (3 window) shows up real cheap.

Would love to have both but sticking with Georgia Milk Cow (GMC). Anyone looking for project truck? Drop me a line and I can pick it up and store it at my place till you can get it. Has minor rust but pretty solid, has 4 spd.

First vehicle I ever owned was a '53 3/4 ton flat-bed Chevy with a 235 (I think) straight 6 and a 4-speed. My dad had parked it out back of the shop in '64 when he bought a new Dodge and he gave it to me when I got married in '66. The king-pin bushings were shot and you took your life in your hands when driving above 40 mph. Wish I still had it........

Hey Thurlow!
Good to see your post. Maybe I get this rig and you come down to the South this winter and pick it up :)

Hope all is good. Just cant believe this truck just fell in my lap. Wishing I had the extra $$ to get it also.

That would be a nifty project. Especially if you found a rolled dodge diesel and swapped that under the body.
