PJ trailers has a new line of 14,000lb GVWR lowboy trailers with drive-over fenders and a 101" wide deck. It's nice because the tractors ride over 12"+ lower than a deckover, and it's got a nice low loading height.
I was all set to buy one until I measured the width between the fenders: 81".
The big M-size tractors are no problem, just drive them over the fenders... However, I've got tractors that are just slightly too wide to fit (81"-84" wide).
Would it be better just to get the deckover, or is it worth adding ramps to extend the fenders for the lower, more stable ride height?
