Might want to consider a Gear Vendors over drive unit. The last time I looked at these they had a unit that mated to the C6 tranny. It is a heavy duty unit and will handle the diesel - they are expensive if purchased new. Google gearvendors. |

| | I hear Gear Vendors are nice units, but the first-gen Cummins guys will pull them and swap in an A518. You have to go to low range every time you stop, and they don't pump any fluid when you are stopped, everything inside is driven by the driveshaft. If you do run one, get the divorce-mount one. It bolts to the frame and acts like a carrier bearing, and you can put it in another truck regardless of what the next truck is. |
