Can Rear end fluid(hydraulic fluid)be substituted for power stearing fluid in a leaky ps pump on a Ford 7000?

The manual recommends different oils. Steering spec is M2c41 or ESN-M2C41-A I use regular power steering fluid in my 9000.

P/S fluid may have been the recomendation 40 years ago but 134D is the recomendation today and I can assure you it works fine. It's what you ~should~ be using.
It's still not going to fix a leaking pump...
Depending on how/where it's leaking... a new pump is probably the only real fix unless you're talking about a leaking o-ring on the resevoir.
