Asking for names or phone #'s of step deck haulers looking for a load or a backhaul from Upper Long Island, NY to SW Minnesota. It is for a fire engine that is approx. 34,000 lbs., 9'6" tall, 31' long, with a short 198" wheelbase. I can email a picture if needed but has long hangover ahead of front wheels and behind rear axle.
Our small vol. F.D. would appreciate any phone numbers or help estimating cost to get it to us. Mostly all Interstate using I495, I80 and I90. My email is [email protected]

You could also try uship.com they are free to use and i have had good luck with them. you just go on and register its free and truck companys will more or less bid on your load. you need to know dimensions and weight which it sounds like you already have covered.

Good Luck

You will need a dock for that long of a wheelbase as it will high center on most ramps guys will have to load with. I have ramps 9-1/2 feet long and those short trucks that ABF and such use will high center if I am not careful.
It will cost about $2.00 per mile for anybody to haul that if they use a step deck. A detach lowboy would be better, since it would end the ramp issue, and will cost more like $5-$6 per mile or more since it would take a stretch trailer or a 53 footer with a tandem only setup.
