Trucking rate changes Be watchful

Recently bought a pair of wheel centers and rims was given a quote for shipping I agreed and the parts were trucked to me. Once here I got the bill it was near $300.00 dollars more. If they give me any trouble about paying the inflated rate the world will know who it is and how they did it. Social media might finally pay off for this ole boy. Hopefully they will settle for the original quote.

I hope they do , if they quote a price that?s the price . It?s not like doing a mechanic job where things can pop up unexpected . He knew how many miles the trip was the cost of fuel the cost of his insurance and every other input , when I was trucking I had a Spread sheet that I put everything into for the truck, oil for the engine, transmission, rear end oil , tires , insurance even the cost of food on the road everything that has anything to with that truck needs to be accounted for . Sounds to me like he blew a tire or something and Is hoping you?ll pay for it . Or he?s new and had no idea what he?s doing and close the margins are to be competitive

I'm sure hoping this works out, I need to have a pair of 18.4 34 tires shipped and honestly I'm a little anxious about these Co. especially if they are going to try and pull these stunts.

Your extra charges maybe because of and I am just saying maybe. They may have quoted a rate to business but ended up going to residence which is an extra residential charge. Also did they bring it in on a lift gate trailer which some freight lines charge for lift gate service.

We do most all our shopping locally. You have to know certain items can be bought elsewhere for incredible savings including shipping we do that without guilt.

Spent some tie on the phone finally got the shipping Co. to agree to let me pay the quote I was given, bill is paid in full. There was a third party involved somehow which made a mess of things. Everybody is happy in the end.

My brother shipped a crate to me from Michigan to Florida.
From where he works to the nearest depot to me.
After I picked it up at the depot, they tried to collect extra from my brothers company for residential delivery.

I told my brother trucking companies most likely try that all the time and get paid often.
