Need to hire someone to move stuff.

Hey y’all,

Looking to hire somebody or recommendations on who to hire to do a small equipment moving job for me.

We are starting in western MA picking up a 3 point hay rake then making one additional stop on the way home to pick up a 3 point sickle bar mower and finial stop to unload at home in Tolland CT. Whole trip should be not more than 60-70 miles.

Anyone with a truck and trailer willing to help/ hire out or recommendations would be great.

Looked at renting a Uhaul truck with one of their trailers and it’s going to be around $300-400 with fuel and mileage I think I can do better than that? Would like to have this done some time after January 12, 2018.

Sounds like the job actually starts at Tolland CT. In order to do it for less anyone would have to live very close to your route, so as to not have to cover any amount of commute time. A friend asked me recently about hauling a fairly large tractor for him through three states. I told him what it would cost, and told him that the bill of sale would have to be made out to me as I have dropped my DOT registration, which he was OK with, but he ended up doing it himself, even though his trailer was maxed out.

Might be only 60 to 70 miles, but it could very easily take 10 to 12 hours to get it all done. $300 to $400 truck rental fee might be the cheapest way to go.
