The original subject was "2009 Chevy 2500hd".

when looking around for trailers, price a new one. Used trailer prices are usually too high, unless you are willing to get something weird. Since I rarely haul tractors, and if I do they are small, I have a 30 foot straight tail 14K PJ, its a 2012 and I bought it used for a smoking deal (2,600) out of south Texas on an online auction.

Check out the websites of the company for options, I know a guy that didnt know about many options when he ordered a new one, and his dealer sucks and stuffed him into something that kinda fit his needs, but lacked many features he could use.

PJ has amazing designs, but IMO rather poor welds and soft steel. If a good local trailer maker could copy a PJ while using better materials and workmanship, you would have the best of all worlds.

The thing that is nice about PJ that few have is the transition from the dovetail to the main deck, most others have quite a ledge to climb over (which sucks winching dead ones on) whereas the PJ the top of the dovetail is even with the deck, so no ledge to climb.

I highly suggest getting the low profile. many makers offer it in the 20K (tandem dually) but only PJ and Big Tex offer it for the 14K. If you want to go all out, air ride is an option.

Moderator, please delete this post, somehow by replying to a post I made a new post, and I am not sure how... :)
