Super trailer

I have some axles that with 17.5 tires would haul 16 ton on easily. That Looks like an old truck frame for the main frame in it. If off from an old 2 ton single axle would easily carry 16 ton.
I would worry more about the pickup pulling it, being able to stop it than the loading it.

Most single axle medium duty truck rear axles are rated 23,000#, 11-1/2 tons, with 9000# to 12,000# front axles. Heavy rated tandems are 44,000#, 22,000#/axle, most O-t-R tandems are 34,000# for the pair. They make axles with 32,000# rating but your most likely to find them under large construction or industrial equipment, like articulated endloaders, fork lifts, etc.

The guy took a lot of pictures that all showed the same thing, Nothing! Looks like frame, rear axle, and flatbed off a '40's or '50's vintage truck. I think 16,000# is plenty of weight for that trailer including the trailer itself. Depending on how good the tires are. And how big/heavy the towing truck is.

A single axle is only legal to 10 ton without a permit so he is out there. More likely a 15,000 lb axle which would be more in line with what I see.

I think he's a little confused. If someone put 16 tons(32,000 lbs) on that thing there wouldn't be much left to it.
Maybe 16,000.....Even that's a stretch.
