Stake pocket D rings

Somewhere I saw a posting about using an insert into a stake pocket that has a D ring on the top for chains. My memory says i was held in the pocket by a draw bar type pin with a quick clip. Would anyone have a reference or source for them? My first guess was Red Neck but I cannot find them in their catalog.

I use stake pocket D rings on my trailer. When buying stake pocket D rings know the size of your stake pocket your going to use them in they are not all the same size. The Pj and can be bought at dealer or be bought straight from PJ which is cheaper than dealer. So far I have found the PJ D rings the heaviest rated (11,780 lbs.). The top photo is a photo of PJ bought at PJ dealer and second photo is factory photo. The last photo is only a 6,000 lb. rated D ring and was bought from another brand dealer and is painted orange because they are used on my Allis that is a light tractor.

I just bought the PJ ones for my PJ trailer off of Amazon 4 for $75.00 and free shipping. They had a special during January. They don't fit in the second pocket back.

Thats strange ! I have an 24 foot F 8 model and they fit every pocket on trailer ( even pockets on dove tail). They don't fit every model of PJ trailers made. Iam wondering if they welded in wrong pocket for trailer.

They slip in the pocket well enough, but they hit the frame under the floor frame. Funny, I bought them so I didn't have issues with other brands.

Which model trailer did you get because there is nothing under mine to hit? The top picture is of my trailer looking down from top and second is factory picture and there is nothing to hit( pictures are of D rings on a F8 model trailer).

I haven't been in PJ's site in awhile and see that they do now make a 2,000 lb. stake pocket D ring for utility trailers. I bought my F8 deck over about 5 years ago they didn't make them for utility trailers

That's interesting. When I bought them in January the PJ dealer didn't specify what they would fit. Since they didn't specify what they fit, I assumed they would fit any of their trailers.

The D ring in top picture is what's is used on my deckover trailer ( rated 11,870 lbs.). The one in bottom picture is what is used on dump and utility trailers and is rated at 2,000 lbs.

Well I'll be dipped. The one on the bottom would work because the bottom is cut away which would fit my utility trailer. Mine are all the same all the way around. They are different. The front most pocket and the rear most pocket allow them to fit well, but the center won't. Good to know. Thank you for the extended input!
