tilt trailers

Just ordered a 16 foot tilt equipment trailer, 7T 2 3500lb axles, with full approach plate. I will be hauling my 8N, Ferguson TE 20 , Super C IHC, and 1948 Cub IHC. I know the cub will be fine with the trailer. I haul the cub now on my eagle 5foot x 10 foot trailer with the fold down loading ramp at the rear.
Didn't order the 18 foot tilt as I think the 16 foot will work fine.
My truck is a new F150 with the smaller V6 plus the eco boost addition to the engine Towing capacity of the pick up of the pick up is 7500 lbs according to the dealership.
Wanted to know if anybody has a trailer (Eagle trailer ) like the one I ordered and how does it work for them.
Trailer weighs about 2000lb and tractors are under 3500lbs.

I have an 18' tiltbed made by Hull Trailers. Just got it this last summer but so far I love it! No issues driving cars or tractors up on it as of yet. Love not having to mess with ramps anymore, and the winch is well worth the money! Mine is a manual tilt... hydraulic tilt would be really nice, but it was a $1000 option so I passed for now. I can always convert it later!

iatractorkid,
Nice trailer. Winch a great idea. What type capacity did you use? I buy my winches from Harbor freight. What tractors do you haul on your trailer?Looks lie two 3500 lb axles on your trailer

It's got 5200lb axles. That pic was the day I brought it home...winch is mounted now. I haul mostly Farmalls for myself but occasionally some hay for my dad or sister...and of course the occasional vehicle! Trailer is heavy enough to haul my MD and the 400 I used to have, they just have to be narrowed up to fit between the fenders.

Iatractorkid,
You have a good heavy duty trailer. Tractors
I will be hauling are; 8N Ford, TE 20 ferguson with 4 foot woods bushhog, Ford jubilee, Farmall cub, and an 850 John Deere compact tractor

latractorkid,

I have a 3500 lb. electric which I mount in a receiver hitch on my JD 850 and ford pick up
Planning to weld /bolt a receiver hitch on the front guard of the tilt bed when I get the trailer. I use a small block with the winch I have. The trailer I ordered has a 16 foot bed. When loading the john deere 850 with the three point Wallenstein chipper or 4 foot JD bushhog may need to winch it aboard the trailer to prevent front end of tractor picking up due to steepness of the tilt bed.
Costs me$85 -100/hr when I hire my equipment hauled. Looking forward to being able to haul my own equipment myself

iatractorkid,
After looking at the trailer you have I was able to change my order with Eagle Trailer manufacturing in Oregon. Changed to 5200 lb axles and a different style tilt trailer.
You mentioned your MD tractor. I had 3td crawler dozers which had the 248cid diesel 4 cyinder start on gas switch to diesel Was curious if your MD tractor had the 248cid engine.
Sold two of the crawlers and kept one.

Here is my 2014 Hull. 18ft, 10k, 102" wide deck, electric tilt w/ wireless remote, diamond plate fenders, 4 extra stake pockets along the front, built in winch plate cost me under $5300.00
out the door. I've since added a 9500lb. wireless remote Superwinch and about 700 pounds to my Case DC.

Iatractorkid,
Would like to see a picture of how winch is mounted on your trailer, Plan to use a piece of 1/4 in. By 8 in by 12 inch flat bar
mounted to trailer deck. Will drill through 2 x 6 decking and through the 3 inch channel under the deck and bolt things together. Weld a piece of 5/16 x 8 in by 12 in vertical to the 1/4 in
Weld a receiver hitch to the 5/16 piece and will use
gussets between the 1/4 and 5/16 piecess
Winch is a HF 3500 lb model
