Farmall M with mounted New Idea Picker

Looking to trailer a Farmall M with a mounted picker. However it seems that the conveyor might be too tall for overpasses. How
do people move these things? I want to buy it in Lacrosse Wi and move it to Salem Wi. (4 hours by car), so it is a little too far
to drive. Any advice on hauling or who to look for to haul it would be great.

They are a little bit too tall. I usually haul them as is. or you can lower the elevator and gain some.

Measure it before you go. I've hauled my case several times and had no trouble. Any bridge under 14' is marked and I think Wi. marks them higher than that. You can call the dot and find out if any bridges aoong the route are a problem. Also its not hard to take the elevator off on those if they have a way to load it.

Run the front end up on a block that would lower the elevator with no work.

IIRC The elevator comes off without taking a lot apart. Been awhile since I had 1 here. Getting it lowered and onto your trailer will take a some muscle.

Unbolt the elevator and lay it on the bed and head down the road.
