Big Tex Dump Trailer

Thinking it would be nice to have a small dump trailer around the place for odd and end jobs. Found a Big Tex 70rs in good shape at a big savings over a new one. The factory specs state 16 gauge floor and sides, seems light to me. Anyone have experience with how this would hold up. Will it be a wash board rather quick?

I thought it was a typo too, but acording to the web site it's true. That would be very thin and very suseptable to puncture. Washboarding will be a given, but then most will do that anyway. Also being that thin if you use it in the salt it will rust through quickly, especially the way those sides are designed as ther will hold the salt in. Otherwise it looks like a well made trailer. And with 45? dump angle it will dump better than other cheapy trailers. If it's cheap enough just use it til the floor is shot then put in a heavier floor.

Put a liner in it . That will help things slide out better at less angle and cushion the floor against dents from stones. It will not stop them but will help. Much like the plastic liner in the Peterbilt front fenders.
