A little more work on my trailer

Re-decked the mid 70s Miller 6 ton today using Marsden Mat. Sure love my plasma cutter.
Question, I have always had wood decks and have seen problems with tracked vehicles on steel. Will the old conveyor belting I have provide good traction, or should I load onto plywood sheets?

I don't see why the belting wont work.

I have even used old car tires on a steel deck to haul a track machine.
Belting will work too.

Belting should work good. When I haul large rolls of paper that need to be spread to make weight they
set them on a rubber mat to keep them from sliding. No straps of ties are used.
