Pulling disc home tomorrow

More then likely buying these disc tomorrow. I have
everything ready to go(I think). Anyone have
anything else to add? I have a grease gun to lube
the wheels before I start out. It's only 40 miles but
lots of hills. I have an SMV sign and am taking back
roads. Any other hints or tricks? Pulling it with a
2014 Ram 1500. And it's an IH 10 foot disc.

We pull the hubs and repack the bearings if its a new to us piece of equipment we are pulling home...can make sure they are tightened correctly then too. We take the SMV sign or magnetic lights, bottle jack and some wood blocks and usually and extra tire/rim or two. Don't forget to take a few different hitch pins too! Hate to get there and not have one long enough!

Take a log chain and binder along. if you attach the chain from an outside corner to the front of the hitch and tighten it you will find that the disc is less likely to sway on you. Discs have normally a lot of slop in their hitches.

Good advice! The chain and binder is highly recommended.

I didn't have a chain binder but a hefty ratchet strap really helped tighten the hitch and it pulled straight at 45(only testing) I pulled mostly at 30mph
