Roadcheck 2015

The annual 72 hour harassment blitz by vehicle enforcement officers is slated for June 2-3-4. While some areas will see no difference in presence; others will see saturations and inspections galore!!! One of the "focus" items this year is load securement. While it is primarily the "big trucks" that are targeted; I have seen the small trucks being inspected and even targeted at times. If you do any hauling during this time; be safe; not sorry. It seems these guys have to justify this ordeal in order to get the overtime funds approved next year. A few years ago; I saw inspection personel taking fuel samples from farmers pickup trucks and handing out large fines if they found any presence of off road dye. BE SAFE AND PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

They really need to start inspecting tour busses.

Arkansas pulled them all in one day about 12-14 years ago and put about 70% of them out of service. The feds told them they were to never do that again.

I would be interested in seeing a reference for that.

It was in one of the trucking magazines. The little
ones at the truck stops. I can't even remember when
it was exactly, but I was with Schneider at the
time, so prior to 05.
