I have a 1990 Chevy C3500 Cab/Chassis that has a 2 horse box on the back. I cannot get my brake lights to come on when I push the pedal. It has a single red lamp that has a dual filament bulb in it for parking/turn/brake. The parking works fine and the bright filament on the bulb works fine with the hazards or turn signal, but it will not light up with the brake pedal. Since there is only 1 wire that goes to that filament of the bulb and it works through other circuits, am I correct in thinking that it is something in the cab causing the problem? I tried adjusting the brake switch and it still didn't work. I have taken the brake switch off and adjusted it on the bench and moved it back and forth, but still cannot get anything from the brake lights. Does anyone know which pins to check on the switch for opening and closing as the switch is moved? Also, I read something about the turn signal switch causing problems like this. Any help is much appreciated!
