I've called locally (central NY) trying to get some idea on what someone might charge to haul a few machines from central New York to northern Michigan.
Approx 740 mile trip via NY,PA,OH and up through MI to the northern tip just below the Mac bridge. So far I can't find anyone to do it or give a price.

Wanting to move a John Deere 1010 crawler-loader (11,000 lbs.) and a John Deere 300B wheeled backhoe-loader (10,000 lbs.). Just trying ascertain if they are worth trucking or I should just sell and rebuy. Machines in nice shape and I hate to part with them. In an ideal world - I'd also like to add a Cletrac/Oliver HG dozer to the mess.
 
2$ a mile is the norm for someone who has ALL the correct insurance and licensing. Then there's tolls can be up to 40$ a state.
 
Our local flatbed operators around Houston are busy hauling for the oilfield. I'm hearing $3-4 per mile depending on whether they can find a back haul or not.
 
I am seeing $4 per loaded mile and $5.50 for oversize. I doubt you will find someone for $2 anymore.
 
I sent specs out to a dozen different truckers. So far not a single one has gotten back to me. If anyone out there wants to post a quote - I'm all ears. Trucking from ZIP 12197 to ZIP 49707. All machines run fine.

IH B275 farm tractor 3700 lbs. 60” (5’) high, 123 ” long (10’4”), 70” wide, 72” wheelbase (5’10”).

Deere 1010 crawler-loader 11,000 lbs. 170” long (14’2”), 62” wide (5’2”), 87” high (7’3”)

Deere 300B wheel loader-hoe 10,000 lbs. 80” (6’8”) wide, 20’ long, 104” (8’6”) high

Oliver HG crawler-dozer 4200 lbs. 57” wide (4’9”), 122” long (10’2”), 64” high (5’4”)
 
theres a site called uship.com. i think you put in all the info of what you wanting shipped. where from and where to and the truckers bid on the haul.maybe you could get a deal from there.
