Kuhn 303 mower/conditioner transport

Any ideas how you would tow one of these Kuhn 303 mower/conditioners that attaches to the tractor by the 3pt hitch, with a pickup truck?

Dad has passed up on more than one because we can't figure out how to get them home from the auctions. It's too far to drive back with a tractor, not to mention hard on expensive tractor tires. They're too wide to fit on the trailer normally, and too long to go on sideways.

Ah, thanks. I looked that up in the parts book and see what you mean.

Unfortunately you gotta know the measurements ahead of time, or make a second trip back.

What's simpler than:

1. Hitch mower to pickup truck.
2. Tow mower 40-50 miles from auction to home.

Now you've got me dragging a trailer and tractor around to auctions on the off chance there's a buy on a mower, and making two trips because my trailer isn't big enough for both.

Tractor house shows plenty for sale. Seems you should be able to get near a dealer that has one that you could measure.

Unfortunately the point is moot now. Auction was back in June. Discbine sold cheap, to someone else. Dad's almost done with 2nd cutting using the old CaseIH 8340 boat anchor POS, so he's no longer hot and heavy to get a different machine.
