Hi,I hope someone can help me fix this.
My 2005 Chevy Duramax A/C Fan don"t work.
It quit last Friday, it worked on all speeds made a funny noise then quit.
I already replaced the blower motor resister and still nothing.
Checked all the fuses nothing.
Anyone know where the relays are?
maybe the fan speed switch is shot?

Thanks Jeff

Maybe not the problem but they did offer a repair kit for the fan switch plugs on those trucks. they corroded and you lost fan speeds until they quit alltogether.

There is one fuse that supplies power to the motor. The speed switch and resistor are on the ground side of the circuit. What's common is the resistor and connector melt. If it made noise, you probably have a bad motor. You can tell if it has the original resistor, it will look like a printed circuit board. The updated resistor is ceramic.

Sounds mechanical to me, but there was a wiring issue on that age truck that could burn the truck down if not attended to.

You should be able to measure power and ground at the blower.

If the motor made noises. I would guess the motor is shot.

Or the plastic fan self destructed. Had that happen on a Buick once.
